About Tswelopele Local Municipality (FS183)

Description: The Tswelopele Local Municipality is a Category B municipality situated within the Lejweleputswa District in the central Free State Province about 100km north west of Bloemfontein. It is bordered by the North West Province in the north, Masilonyana in the south, Nala and Matjhabeng in the east, and Tokologo in the west. It is one of the five municipalities that make up the district, accounting for almost a quarter of its geographical area. Main Economic Sectors: Agriculture (24.6%), mining (2.72%), manufacturing (2.81%), electricity (0.11%), construction (2.03%), trade (8.56%), transport (0.83%), finance (2.67%), community services (13.31%), households (28.07%).
