About Collins Chabane Local Municipality (LIM345)

Description: The Collins Chabane Local Municipality is a Category B municipality situated within the Vhembe District in the far north of the Limpopo Province. The municipality shares borders with Musina in the north, Thulamela in the north-east, the Mopani District in the south, and Makhado in the west. It is one of the four municipalities in the district, making up 20% of its geographical area. It was established by the amalgamation of portions of the Thulamela and Makhado Local Municipalities in August 2016. Cities/Towns: Makhado, Malamulele, Musina, Thohoyandou
